What a complete joy to be part of the Installation Service for Rev. Becky Schwandt at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Ft. Myers, Florida on Sunday, February 23!  The service included youth dancing down the aisle as the congregation sang, “I Danced in the Morning,”

Rev. Melana Scruggs, General Presbyter, preached a memorable sermon calling all people to not just live by the book.  She encouraged all to remember the music and allow melodies to bring alive the written word and guides by which we live!

Nearly 100 people gathered on Sunday afternoon at Covenant to welcome their newly installed pastor.  A longtime friend, Julie, gave a charge to the congregation encouraging them to support, pray for, and feed snacks to their pastor!   And Rev. Kevin Morris, Estero, charged Rev. Schwandt to take care of herself, keep a weekly Sabbath, (Thursday it is), and to love the congregation!

Music permeated the service and following the installation service, all gathered in the fellowship hall to enjoy a meal served by the youth of the church! Welcome Rev. Becky Schwandt to Peace River Presbytery!
