VBS June 1-5 “God’s Mighty Flock”

It was an incredible week putting on our first VBS at Palmetto Presbyterian Church in decades. God’s Mighty Flock was a hit! From the families, the children, and the volunteers – it was all a blessing to each of us. Many hands and hearts made this VBS happen. Our faithful congregation gave above and beyond to support this outreach and we couldn’t have done it without their financial support. Our genuine prayer was to bring God’s love to those in this community where we are located. God not only brought children from Palmetto but children came from Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, and Parrish, too!

On Sunday, June 7th, families that participated in the VBS were invited to attend worship and watch as their children shared their experiences during the Children’s Moment. They even performed two of the songs from our week together. Our volunteers went above and beyond to ensure safety, Christian formation, and fun. A lot of the connections were built between the scheduled activities where we danced, laughed, and enjoyed holy play. The VBS planning team is already excited for the summer of 2027! We can’t wait to see what God does next year!
